Fibre infrastructure specialist acquired

Telecoms and fibre infrastructure company, SDH Project Services has been acquired by Manchester firm Telcom Group for an undisclosed amount.

The Brighouse-based company specialises in delivering large scale telecommunications infrastructure projects and fibre infrastructure monitoring solutions, key components in the government’s objective of universal high-speed connectivity for every household and business.

The directors of Telcom Group believe the acquisition will strengthen its ability to deliver the necessary infrastructure as quickly as possible.

Joint CEO of Telcom Group, Doug Ward will now head the infrastructure division of the business which will include the acquired SDH Project Services.

Telcom’s chairman, Christopher Baldock, said: “I am delighted that we have been able to bring SDH Project Services within the Telcom Group. We shall be working with the team, our key suppliers and customers in order to scale up our capacity as rapidly as possible.”
