Consultancy set for significant expansion

Environmental, planning and engineering consultancy Arcus Consultancy Services is looking to appoint at least 15 new staff as it looks to further strengthen its UK operation.

York-headquartered Arcus specialises in the renewable energy sector.

It provides environmental assessment, planning and engineering services to prominent new developments, ranging from windfarms, solar plants, battery storage facilities, to hydrogen schemes and gas to grid systems.

The company says it is expanding in response to the growth of the clean energy sector.

Managing Director Greg Shillabeer, who set up the business in 2006, has since seen it grow to over 80 staff.

He said: “As the renewable energy sector continues to grow and develop, we are keen to ensure our clients have access to the very best technical expertise.

“These opportunities are arising in Arcus at a very exciting time, as we provide high-quality environmental assessment services on a diverse range of clean energy projects, including offshore wind, onshore wind, solar, hydrogen and battery storage.

“We have ambitious plans for the next five years in terms of turnover and growth.

“Appointing the right mix of talented and experienced people, whilst supporting the development of our existing team, is tremendously important to growing our business, whilst at the same time retaining our positive culture and can-do approach to our work.”
