Housing provider appoints new chief exec

Local housing provider St Leger Homes has appointed Dave Richmond as its new chief executive.

The appointment follows an extensive recruitment process and will see Richmond current chief executive Paul Tanney who retires on 30th September.

Richmond has spent over 30 years working in local government, the last ten of which were in charge of Rotherham and then Hull’s housing departments.

During his time at Hull, the housing service was named Strategic Housing Authority of the Year by the Chartered Institute of Housing and it was also the first organisation in the country to be named as a Tpas Exemplar in recognition of the authority’s commitment to listening and acting upon tenants’ views.

Dave Wilkinson, chair of the board at St Leger Homes, said: “Dave Richmond comes with an excellent and successful track record and I look forward to working with him when he takes up his new position on 1st October. Dave is someone who will ensure tenants’ views and needs remain at the heart of what we do.”

Richmond commented: “I am delighted to be joining such a highly performing organisation as St Leger Homes. I am looking forward to working with colleagues in Doncaster to make sure St Leger Homes not only provides great services for tenants, but also makes a significant contribution to the wider wellbeing of residents across the Borough.’’
