South Yorkshire FinTech expands into Germany

Gala Technology, the South Yorkshire-based business, behind SOTpay payment solution, has expanded into Germany.

This expansion – the first time the business as looked outside of the UK and Ireland – is the result of growing demand for card not present (CNP) transactions as a result of the current pandemic. With German merchants now able to use Gala Technology’s ‘out-of-the-box’ cloud based system to CNP transactions.

Jason Mace, CEO at Gala Technology said ‘SOTpay enables cardholders to complete secure remote transactions without divulging card data to a third party. Payments are authenticated, providing liability shift for the merchant, consequently eliminating the risk of fraud-related chargebacks and are processed in a PCI DSS compliant environment, in a manageable and cost-effective way.
