Second international contract win for Yorkshire eLearning firm

A West Yorkshire eLearning solutions firm has secured a contract with listed international speciality chemicals group Croda.

Day One Technologies, based in Batley, has been contracted to modernise how training of Croda’s sales and planning software ‘Voyager’ is delivered through the development of an eLearning solution.

Employees will be able to enhance their knowledge of the range of planning activities, as well as learn how to be more efficient when forecasting demand across their global supply chain.

This is the second high-profile, international contract Day One has won this year.

Elaine Teal, CEO at Day One Technologies, said: “We’ve seen a great increase in the number of international firms looking to move their training online for a variety of reasons, so we were over the moon when Croda approached us with their plans.

“Croda is demonstrating leadership in ethical business across all areas of their operations, which includes a commitment to being ‘Climate, Land and People Positive by 2030’.

“Speeding a shift from traditional, face to face training in a classroom environment to using elearning was a key part of this process, so they reached out to our team to develop an eLearning solution.”

Croda, which is based in East Yorkshire, supplies ingredients to top brands across a range of industries, including Biotech, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Construction, Agricultural, Food, Transport Electronics and many more.

The new eLearning model is designed to not only make onboarding and upskilling Croda’s sales staff faster and more scalable, but will also reduce the need to travel for group training, thus helping with the firm’s sustainability goals.

Debbie Reed, business support manager at Croda, said: “We’ve set ourselves some challenging commercial and sustainability goals for the decade ahead, and we’re confident the training solutions developed by Day One will help our teams to reach them.

“The eLearning content and simulations have already had some great feedback and we’re excited to roll them out across our global workforce.”

The eLearning programme will be rolled out at all Croda offices and manufacturing sites across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia, North and South America, and Australia.
