Property group chosen to improve key ambulance service sites

RFM Group, a property business specialising in construction, facilities management and maintenance, has been selected by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service to refurbish its North Allerton and Bradford sites.

Following competitive tenders, RFM was identified as the most suitable contractor for the refurbishment of these facilities.

Civil and hard landscaping works will include new parking bays, electric vehicle charging points, lighting, alongside new signage.

Work is due to start in August and will be completed in October 2020.

The bid was led by client services director Mark Flanagan and construction managing director Paul Mulhearn.

Flanagan said: “It is great to be recognised as a leading contractor in the area and build upon the other successful projects we’ve delivered for the NHS and commercial clients. Our successful bid was a result of a real team effort.”

Mulhearn said: “RFM are proud to be able to support the fantastic work of the NHS and the Ambulance service.

“The Yorkshire Ambulance Service receive an average of over 2,700 emergency and routine calls a day.

“It’s vital that their sites are in the best possible condition to enable this important service to continue to keep us all safe.”

The contract wins follow RFM’s recent purchase of the Leeds-based Hevertech brand, further increasing RFM’s share of the healthcare, commercial, retail and education construction and facilities management market.
