Manufacturing group acquires £3.3m turnover business

Barnsley-based Naylor Concrete Products has acquired the business and certain assets of concrete fencing manufacturer Procter Fencing for an undisclosed sum.

Procter Fencing which is based in Garforth manufactures and supplies concrete fence posts and ancillary products. The business has a turnover of £3.3m and employs 32 people and the deal will see Procter director Keith Kirwin join Naylor.

Naylor’s chief executive Edward Naylor said, “We’re looking forward to working with the Procter team to develop their fencing range and capacity and are ex-cited about being able to offer our customers a wider range of concrete prod-ucts.”

This is the latest investment for the firm which is part of Naylor Industries a fourth generation family run manufacturing group, which recently commissioned a new £2m automated lintel manufacturing plant that has resulted in improved productivity and increased capacity.
