500 jobs to be created at proposed industrial hub

Leading multi-sector property developer, Caddick Developments, has brought forward plans to deliver a new high-quality logistics and industrial hub at Leeds Valley Park, which would result in a significant employment boost to the area, totalling between 400 and 500 jobs once completed, alongside a significant number of roles in the short to medium term, during the construction phase.

The proposed 306,000 sq ft development between Junction 44 of the M1 and Junction 7 of the M621 looks to establish the site as Leeds’ premium ‘mid-box’ logistics scheme. With the developer stating the 20-acre site is an ideal location for accessing regional and national road networks.

Proposals include the construction of six light-industrial ‘mid-box’ units of varying sizes and styles. The proposed scheme will consist of spacious, modern B2 & B8 classed units, whilst the surrounding complex will be landscaped to create a welcoming work environment.

The site, which is owned by Caddick Developments, would make a significant contribution to meeting the strong level of demand within the logistics and industrial market for developments of this quality and type as well as providing a boost to the local economy.

If granted planning permission, Leeds Valley Park would join an impressive list of high-quality logistics developments delivered by Caddick, including Wakefield 515, Crosspoint 33, and Moor Park.
