New business recovery company set up in response to pandemic

An established Yorkshire insolvency practitioner, Chris Brooksbank, has set up a new business recovery firm to assist companies battling for survival during the pandemic and beyond.

Brooksbank – a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner – specialises in all aspects of corporate, personal insolvency and business recovery in a career spanning 30 years.

Based in Liversedge, he has previously worked in both national and boutique firms in the West Yorkshire area, drawing on an established client base and strong working relationships with key players across his industry.

These include links with local and national accountants, solicitors, asset-based lenders, banks and other financial institutions.

His new firm is called CB – Business Recovery.

Brooksbank said: “Many businesses have experienced unprecedented trading conditions since the first national lockdown in March and are now struggling to survive.

“Despite Government assistance, by way of loans and the recently-extended furlough scheme, it’s inevitable that businesses will face major challenges for the foreseeable future.

“The situation ramped up again on December 2, with the confirmation that West Yorkshire has moved into Tier Three.”

Regulated by the Insolvency Practitioners’ Association, Brooksbank is also a member of The Association of Business Recovery Professionals.
