Industrial unit to accommodate global manufacturer’s UK headquarters

Commercial lettings specialist and landlord, Towngate PLC, has agreed a five-year lease with Alco Valves Group Ltd for Unit AR2, Armytage Road.

The property is a 33,713 sq ft detached industrial warehouse in Brighouse.

Established in 1977, Alco Valves Ltd makes a range of technically advanced, precision-made valve products and accessories for the oil and gas industry.

It has a global presence, operating across six continents – including Asia, Africa, and South America.

Its Brighouse base – situated in the Armytage Road Industrial Estate – will comprise the firm’s new UK HQ.

General manager of Alco Valves, Michael West, said: “The opportunity for Alco Valves to relocate the business to Armytage Road — less than a mile from the previous location and half a mile away from its first unit at Mission Works — cements the history of the business in the ‘valve valley’.

“Brighouse seems to be synonymous with valves, with a number of great companies being either founded or currently based here.

“The effort by both Towngate and the Alco Valves workforce to facilitate the move in such a short space of time was valiant.
