Retailer signs up for units at shopping park

A home, leisure and garden retailer will move into premises at Kirkstall Bridge Shopping Park, in Leeds.

LondonMetric, represented jointly by Savills and Morgan Williams, has secured a deal which will see The Range open a new store.

The retailer has agreed a 15-year lease for the 35,000 sq ft store at units 7 and 8 of the park, and is due to open in the spring. The letting leaves just one available unit at the scheme, of 4,960 sq ft.

Situated two miles from the city centre, the shopping destination is located in the suburbs of west Leeds, and comprises a total of 120,000 sq ft of prime retail warehousing with space for 356 cars.

Existing retailers at this location include Home Bargains, Food Warehouse and Smyths Toys, plus leisure operators such as Costa Coffee and Pure Gym.

Ian Hare, out of town retail director at Savills Leeds, said: “Kirkstall Bridge is a prime retail scheme home to a compelling mix of big names.

“The most recent letting to The Range complements the already strong tenant line up and, in spite of the current challenges, we expect to see good interest from resilient, acquisitive brands in the last remaining unit.”
