Gas distributor opens more depots and awards security contract

A Leeds gas distributor has opened two new depots despite the pandemic, taking its total locations to six across the North of England.

Innergy Group, which is one of the largest bottled gas distributors in the UK has also awarded a new security contract to multi-service provider Servo Group.

The contract will cover all security provisions for Innergy’s Gelderd Road head office, as it grows and realigns to expand its corporate market share.

It’s the latest in a series of contract wins for Servo, which provides full FM services, SIA licensed manned guarding, CCTV, vetted and screened rail labour, property management and construction services, and has over 800 operatives working around the UK.

innergy has grown despite COVID-19, opening depots in both York and Manchester, and it has launched a new website with a renewed focus on supporting commercial customers.

The 15-year old firm supplies everything from industrial and cellar gases to solid fuels to companies throughout the UK.

The company has also donated money and building materials to a local charity which supports the vulnerable in Leeds, as it builds the city’s first container home project for the homeless.

Chris Turner, from Servo Group, said: “We’re delighted to have been awarded innergy’s security contract and to be playing such an instrumental part in their growth.

“They have also forged a great alliance with one of our charity partners, Vulnerable Citizen Support, and innergy’s support has been vital in supporting the homeless and vulnerable in the city.”
