Home for adults with complex needs to create another 100 jobs

Exemplar Health Care, a provider of specialist nursing care for adults living with complex needs, says construction has begun for a new care home in South Elmsall, Pontefract.

Bennett Court, based on Ash Grove, will be the company’s sixth home in West Yorkshire, where it will support 30 adults who are living with complex health care needs.

In addition to providing a community-based service for residents living at Bennett Court, around 100 jobs are expected to be created in the next few months, ahead of the expected opening in winter 2021.

Charlotte Lloyd, commissioning director at Exemplar Health Care, said: “We’re pleased to announce that construction has begun on-site for our brand-new home for South Elmsall.

“We’ve worked closely with the Clinical Commissioning Groups and local authorities and are proud to bring this one-of-a-kind facility to South Elmsall, to enable local people who have suffered an accident, or are living with complex needs, to live close to home, regain their independence and everyday living skills, and move back into their homes in the community.

“As well as providing employment opportunities, there are plans in place to help Bennett Court become part of the local community.

“We are working hard to keep nearby schools, residents, and businesses, updated with the work planned on site.

“We welcome any queries that local residents have around our new home – and look forward to being officially part of the community.”
