New summer dining destination at historic country house hotel

North Yorkshire country house hotel is hoping to help guests celebrate the easing of lockdown and the end of relentless zoom calls and home schooling with its new summer space

Grantley Hall in Ripon which recently launched The Orchard, an outdoor area designed to allow guests to enjoy a stylish, laid back summer atmosphere while enjoying a selection of wines, cocktails, summer dishes or simply a cup of Yorkshire Tea and a slice of cake. The new space was created following the popularity of the venues Norton Courtyard and EightyEight Terrace. Offering stunning views of the manicured gardens of the West Lawns.

The venue is also now preparing to welcome guests back into the Grade II listed mansion house, subject to the further easing of restrictions on 17 May in line with the government guidelines.

Alongside The Orchard the hotel also offers alfresco diners EightyEight Terrace, enabling the pan-Asian restaurant to serve its signature specialities and the Norton Courtyard, which offered a British bistro-style menu. While once reopened the hotel, which was painstakingly restored over three and a half years by owner Valeria Sykes before opening in 2019, will also see Shaun Rankin at Grantley Hall, Fletchers Restaurant and Valeria’s begin to serve guests once again.
