Automotive firm launches to meet demand from VW fanbase

A new specialist automotive firm has launched to meet growing global demand for the VW bus.

Insane Vehicles designs and builds custom modifications for Volkswagen Transporters to meet a range of lifestyles.

The Leeds-based firm has already taken orders from the UK and Europe, with high demand for its Multivan options. Vehicles come with high specification body kits and custom leather interiors.

Each vehicle can be fitted with a large array of options ranging from internal racking for bikes to interchangeable kitchen pods.

Mark Calvert, managing director, said: “The VW Transporter has developed a cult following thanks to its incredible versatility.

“We launched Insane Vehicles with a team of fanatics who love the vans and maximise each vehicle’s potential for our customers.

“We aim to build a global lifestyle brand around our luxury multi-purpose vans, with designs that grab attention and provide some of the most practical vehicles on the market.”

The engineers at Insane Vehicles trained and qualified with Volkswagen Audi Group.

James Stewart, director of the new business, said: “We bring a lifetime of experience to the build of every vehicle and believe our customers will be able to feel the many hours of work that goes into bringing a customer’s vision to life.”

Fellow director Arron Sutcliffe added: “We’ve already had a lot of interest from leading sports personalities who admire the practicality and luxury of our VW Transporters.

“I believe we will quickly build an international brand and look forward to expanding our team in Leeds significantly.”
