Former Leeds United players to join Euro 2020 events at the Armouries

In the wake of the announcement about the Magnificent 7 events at Leeds Armouries last week, and with Gareth Southgate choosing to delay announcing his final squad for the the European tournament, the organisers have declared their team of special guests for the events.

With the Royal Armouries hosting all of England’s group games and aiming to create an atmosphere with food and entertainment, former Leeds United players Paul Reaney, Mel Sterland and John Hendrie have been confirmed as special guests as part of a tribute to Elland Road legend Peter Lorimar, who sadly passed away in March.

With the Royal Armouries in Leeds set to transformed into a bona fide festival of football, with each game preceded by a stunning 3-course meal, there wont be a bad seat in the house with all the action shown live on a gigantic indoor screen.

However as well as being the ultimate way to celebrate the electrifying Euro action, the event is also aiming to raise money for charity with a series fundraising auctions to raise money for organisations including the MDNA as a way of tribute to legendary Leeds Rhinos player Rob Burrows, the Alzheimer’s Society and Prostate Cancer UK.

Strict Covid-19 measures will be in place to protect guests and events staff, and VIP options including chauffeur services will be available for those looking to make their evening that little bit more memorable.

The events kick off with the first game on Sunday 13th June, when England play Croatia at 2pm, followed by England V Scotland on Friday 18th June at 8pm and then England v Czech Republic on Tuesday 22nd June at 8pm.

The exact dates and times of the following three matches will be announced when places are confirmed, with the show-stopping final set for Sunday 11th July at 8pm.
