Home interiors specialist reveals new 375,000 sq ft distribution complex

Leeds-based business Riva Home has outlined the development of its 375,000 sq ft head office distribution centre, following significant growth and expansion into new product categories.

The development, previously occupied and owned by AGFA graphics, is undergoing extensive refurbishment due for completion in September.

The site includes 70,000 sq ft of space for Riva Home’s head office, and over 300,000 sq ft of warehousing which will give the home interiors business the capacity to store over 20,000 pallets and dispatch more than 80,000 orders per day.

Riva Home is a specialist in the Soft Furnishings and Bed Linen sectors. However, recent growth and expansion through mainstream online retailers has meant the company is expanding into further categories within the home interiors market.

Riva Home acquired Evans Lichfield in July 2020; a manufacturer specialising in Soft Furnishings based in Staffordshire, UK.

Justin Green, managing director of Riva Home, said: “It’s certainly an exciting time here at Riva and that last year has brought many challenges, but even more opportunities that the team have excelled with.

“The new site gives us huge room for further expansion through new product categories and retail partners, but also for further acquisitions in the near future.”

Mike Stocks who is leading the company’s acquisition strategy from Smailes Goldie’s corporate finance department, added: “The growth that Riva Home has achieved over the last few years is very impressive, and they are now perfectly staged for further growth in the coming years.”
