Pop up dining experience pulls into car park

The latest pop up drinking and dining destination, Multistories is preparing to launch in a unique socially distanced setting not normally associated with social gatherings.

Named in honour of its location on level 8 of Citi Park in the Merrion Centre, it will host up to 350 guests and offer them the perfect view of the city’s skyline from 25 June.

The venture  is the latest project from Xperience Partners and its first in the Leeds having. It will feature Masterchef: The Professionals finalist Matt Healy’s new Tapas Xperience concept alongside the Svannah Roqaa who launched the Savvy Baker during lockdown and will be providing home baked treats.

Arron Fishwick, co-founder of Xperience Partners explained that “Multistories was born to kickstart” a hospitality led recovery in the city as the sector looks to build back from the challenges of 2020.

It’s the second venue that is utilising outdoor space to highlight the independent food and drink scene in the city with the Chow Down having been serving up outdoor drinking and dining since April and recently announcing it would host the Northern leg of the British Street Food Awards.

Fishwick added: “Socialising in a car park may raise the odd eyebrow up north, but it’s a tried and tested concept in London that’s been growing exponentially for the best part of a decade. Level 8 will not only allow for some unrivalled views of the city, but some of the absolute best food and drink you’ll find in the UK.

‘’We’re honoured to be working with the likes of Matt Healy, the Savvy Baker, and can’t wait to reveal more big names as they are confirmed. With everyone fed up with lockdown, we’re hoping 2021 is going to be the much-needed summer of love we’ve all been craving. We can’t wait to see the people of Leeds join us to make some lifelong memories.”

Multistories will offer table service, a fully licensed bar and will be announcing more food vendors and music acts soon. It will operate from 4-10pm on Fridays, and between 12-10pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
