Darts club signs up for space in listed city building

Hillview Real Estate, a UK regional office investor, has signed a lease agreement with Flight Club to open a social darts venue at Sovereign House, a Grade II-listed building in Leeds.

Flight Club has signed a 20-year lease for 15,890 sq ft of space on the basement, ground and first floors of the building.

The venue houses 13 oches and has a total guest capacity of 400, with two feature bars and brunch served every Thursday-Sunday.

Flight Club Leeds will be the company’s third venue outside London, joining Manchester and Birmingham.

Dom Ketteringham, asset manager at Hillview Real Estate, said: “Flight Club’s decision to choose Leeds as the next city to expand into is a huge endorsement. I’m confident it will be extremely popular and prove to be a valuable addition to the Leeds nightlife.

“Flight Club’s choice of Sovereign House reflects its prime position in the city’s leisure core and is the first step in our repositioning of the property.

“We have 20,000 sq ft of fully refurbished office space available, which is generating good levels of interest from potential occupiers.”

CEO, Steve Moore, who co-founded Flight Club alongside Paul Barham, said: “It’s been a longer wait than expected, but we’re thrilled to be sharing our amazing venue with Leeds all at long last.

“Our venues have brought unexpected, ridiculous, joy to three different UK cities so far and we are confident the vibrant energy in Leeds makes it the perfect next chapter in the Flight Club story.

“After an incredibly challenging year, we want to bring some much-needed joy into the lives of locals with some guaranteed fun.”

Hillview Real Estate was advised by Pudney Shuttleworth and Flight Club was advised by The Leisure Partnership.
