Digital media group kicks off expansion

Planet Sport Publishing – a Leeds-based digital media group behind titles such as Planet Football and Planet F1 – has kicked off its expansion with the launch of a new multi-sports site.

PlanetSport.com offers original coverage across football, racing, boxing, and golf and will draw on the best from the wider Planet Sport network and its team of specialist journalists who already cater for online audiences of 14 million unique visitors per month.

Planet Sport Publishing’s managing director, Tim Satchell, said: “PlanetSport.com was conceived to take us into new sports and build on our existing approach to offering high-quality, engaging sports content.

As a result of this launch, Planet Sport Publishing is expanding its editorial team in the UK and across the globe.

The business now employs nearly 90 full-time and freelance journalists, content producers and developers.
