Expanding motor group swoops for Jaguar Land Rover dealership

Lloyd Motor Group has acquired the Jaguar Land Rover business in York, extending its geographic footprint further into Yorkshire.

Lloyd Motor Group, founded in 1976, operates in 29 locations across Northern England and Southern Scotland, offering car retail, servicing and bodyshop repairs.

The company’s franchise director, Rob Lindsay, said: “The acquisition offers an exciting opportunity for Lloyd Motor Group to strengthen and expand its offering in Yorkshire.

“We are recognised as an award-winning Group with Jaguar Land Rover UK.

“We aim to bring that unique Lloyd customer experience to York and take full advantage of the state-of-the-art Jaguar Land Rover facilities already there. Our strategy is to lead the market and deliver exceptional customer experiences, every time.”

The expansion continues Lloyd Motor Group’s significant investment in the Jaguar and Land Rover brands and follows extensive retailer refurbishments at its other retailer locations.

It increases the number of Lloyd Jaguar Land Rover retailers to six, with York joining Ripon Land Rover, Carlisle Land Rover, Kelso Land Rover and Carlisle Jaguar.

Bryan Lloyd, managing director of Lloyd Motor Group, added: “At the heart of Lloyd Motor Group’s brand lie our values.

“They drive our operating principles, our ambitions, and they’re fundamental to the way we work. We look forward to welcoming our new colleagues and customers in Yorkshire and demonstrating this.”

Lloyd Motor Group represents some of the world’s premium automotive manufacturers – Jaguar, Land Rover, BMW, MINI, Volvo, Kia, BMW Motorrad, and Honda Motorcycles. The group now employs over 1,000 people.
