Abigail Scott Paul, director of external relations at Leeds 2023

Scott Paul said: “I’m delighted to be joining TheBusinessDesk.com for its first Yorkshire networking event since lockdown restrictions have lifted. LEEDS 2023 offers us a huge opportunity to put the city firmly on the global map for culture, as well as driving our social and economic recovery from the pandemic. We can’t do this without the support of businesses in the region and so I look forward to meeting with business leaders to share our current plans for what is shaping up to be an extraordinary year and discussing how we maximise the opportunity to attract new visitors to the city and involve business in some of the exciting work we are planning.”

Ben Ormsby, Yorkshire editor at TheBusinessDesk.com, added: “Our summer networking events have always proved popular and sadly last year it couldn’t go ahead, so we’re delighted to be back this year.

“This will be my first summer networking event as editor and over the last 12 months we’ve also welcomed new members to our commercial and events team, so we’re all looking forward to meeting both established and new connections as well as hearing the latest news from Abigail about Leeds 2023’s plans.

“Hopefully the sun will shine for this relaxed summer event and we’ll see many of you there.”
