Dental practice is sold for the first time in 37 years

Leeds-based Toothpassion Dental Practice has been acquired by first-time buyer, Paul Midha, for an undisclosed sum.

Specialist commercial property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of the business which was established over 50 years ago.

Toothpassion Dental Practice, a two-surgery, fully private dental practice in the city centre, was previously owned by Dr Colin Rosenstone.

Rosenstone said: “Since acquiring the practice in 1984, with the introduction of new restorative, preventative and cosmetic/aesthetic procedures, it has attracted many new patients.

“Significant sea changes in dentistry have also arrived with the introduction of Denplan, Invisalign and various dental laboratory techniques.

“This also coincided with a general increase in the public awareness of the benefits of a winning smile.

“The decision to sell was, in part, a recognition of the future developments of these changes and the rapid introduction of digital dentistry as a whole.

“I would always want my patients to enjoy the benefits of this new era of dentistry, so passing the ownership of my practice to a younger dentist who shares my vision of combining the highest quality of care with the highest quality of dental treatment seemed to be the right move.

“I have the greatest confidence and certainty that I am leaving my patients in the safe hands of my successor who, together with my team, will continue the ethos of the practice in always putting the patients first.”

Olivia Allison, business agent at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, added: “I’m so pleased to see Toothpassion over the line and sold to first-time buyer, Paul.

“This fully private practice is fantastically placed in Leeds city centre and has the perfect split of income between fee per item and plan with huge scope for Paul to continue to grow the profit.

“I wish Paul all the success, and a healthy retirement to Colin, they were both a pleasure to deal with.

“This sale is a great example of the demand we’re seeing for private practices right now.”
