People: BRM Solicitors; Journey Further; and more

Regional law firm BRM Solicitors is expanding with two new appointments to its Dispute Resolution Department.

Kate Fowler, joins as an associate from Sheffield law firm Lupton Fawcett specialising in property litigation and bringing over eight years of legal expertise to BRM’s Sheffield Dispute Resolution Team.

Ellie Davies arrives as a trainee solicitor and upon qualification, will specialise in litigation and dispute resolution.

The latest recruits complement the recent appointments of executive director and department head, Rob Cooke, whose extensive experience spans areas including Commercial and Property Litigation.

Director Giles Searby’s expertise in the manufacturing and technology sectors and experience with international trade issues were a valuable addition to BRM’s Dispute Resolution Department in 2020.

Performance marketing agency, Journey Further, has appointed James Addlestone as its new chief strategy officer.

He will join the executive team and lead strategy for the Leeds, London and Manchester-based agency, working with CEO, Robin Skidmore, and managing director, Matt Kwiecinski, to deliver on the business’s global growth plans.

Addlestone began his career in strategy consulting and data science at Deloitte, before moving to a number of agency groups including Interpublic and Omnicom.

He departs his role as head of decision science at RAPP to join Journey Further. He said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining the Journey Further team.

Leeds-based digital agency, twentysix, has appointed Ibrar Hussain as technical director to lead and grow its web development offering in a newly formed role.

Joining twentysix from Dept UK, Hussain has over 15 years’ experience in digital, having held senior positions spearheading growth at a number of top agencies.

He will be responsible for leading twentysix’s technical strategy; including partner selection, best practice delivery and people development.

He will play an important role in achieving operational excellence, empowering the agency to keep pace, operate with agility, and drive innovation for the benefit of its clients – including the likes of Arla, Asda Money and Mercedes.
