Meeting and function space launched at water park

As part of its ongoing investment in facilities, North Yorkshire Water Park, which is located on the Dawnay Estate, has opening a new function space for hire.

The room has views over the main water sports lake and café terrace.

The meeting room and function space has a capacity of up to 30, and is available to hire for corporate meetings, team building and children’s parties.

It has been named the 251 Events Room, in a nod to the First World War Royal Flying Corps airfield on the Estate that was used by 251 Squadron.

Alongside the space, the recently opened Café @ North Yorkshire Water Park features a full kitchen and catering team who can create a range of food and drinks to suit.

David Steel, chief executive of the Dawnay Estate, said: “It’s very exciting to launch this new offering and with a rightful nod to the war heroes who were stationed on this land over a century ago.

“For us, it’s another opportunity to bring people to Wykeham and the North Yorkshire Water Park to enjoy everything the site has to offer – whether it’s a party, meeting or a team building day.”
