Latest purchase build’s on property firm’s growing investment portfolio

Acquisitive property company, North Star, has bought a prominent retail building in York City Centre, adding to its growing investment portfolio in the city.

Located on Coney Street, in the city’s shopping district, the building has a long lease in place with national toy retail brand, The Entertainer.

This acquisition follows other purchases the company has made over recent months that include the TK Maxx shop, also on Coney Street, the former New Look building on Parliament Street – which now houses a vintage clothing store – and various joint ventures across York with other property businesses.

The 9,000 sq ft building was bought from an institutional investor for an undisclosed figure.

A spokesman for North Star said: “York is a fantastic place and we are excited to add to our other investments in the area.

“Over recent months the city has shown its vibrancy and opportunity as the city centre evolves and improves.”
