Luxury retailer celebrates a quarter of a century in Knightsbridge of the North

Harvey Nichols Leeds will present a host of special celebrations to mark its 25th anniversary in the city.

The luxury retailer first opened its doors on 23rd October 1996, becoming the the first Harvey Nichols store to open outside of London, resulting in Leeds getting the nickname as the ‘Knightsbridge of the North’.

As the anchor retailer in the beautiful and historic Victoria Quarter, the store holds a special place in the retail landscape of Leeds and has become a firm favourite with visitors and residents seeking the ultimate retail and dining experience in the city.

To celebrate this landmark birthday this October, the store is presenting a series of events, competitions and promotions, with special treats on offer for customers shopping in-store during the birthday weekend.

Celebrations kicked off on Wednesday with a night of beauty trends, tips and tricks showcasing the latest cult brands and hero products.

For those craving an Autumn Winter wardrobe update, there’s a chance to win the ultimate Personal Shopping experience with £1,000 to spend instore**. From 15th – 22nd October, in collaboration with Victoria Leeds, the luxury retailer is giving one lucky customer the chance to win a luxury shopping spree with an expert stylist on hand.

Headlining the celebrations, the store will host an all-day shopping event on Saturday with complimentary drinks tastings, live DJ sets and party food pop-ups throughout the store. And from in the afternoon the resident experts from the Wine Shop will be hosting a celebration of the finest wines from the ‘Autumn Wine Festival’, with the chance to meet the producers, alongside a special wine tasting masterclass showcasing the best and brightest bottles from the newest collection of celebrity winemakers.

The celebrations will continue into the final week of October with visitors able to raise a glass to 25 years in the city, with a specially created dining and cocktail menu in-store until 30th October that includes a classic ‘Rhubarb and Cherry Bramble’ or the specially created ‘Birthday Cake Martini’. This can be combined with the best of the Fourth Floor Brasserie and Bar, with the birthday menu offering three delicious courses with a special birthday cocktail for £25 or with bottomless Harvey Nichols Champagne for £45.
