Proptech business continues growth following acquisition

Simon Tillyer

Vouch, a Sheffield-based business which was acquired by proptech company Goodlord last year has seen growth continue despite what founders referred to as “numerous challenges” brought about by changes to the industry.

The business was founded in 2017 by Simon and Jaime Tillyer, former letting agents with over 15 years experience. Vouch digitises referencing enabling users to use a simple online model that cuts costs by around 65% as well as increasing the productivity.

In the last six months the business has seen demand for its services increase with a 78% increase in reference volumes when compared to 2020 and a 62% increase in customer numbers. As a result of this growth the business has had to increase its headcount from 24 to 35 employees.

Simon Tillyer, director of Vouch, said: “We are thrilled to have continued to grow so significantly over the past six months. We’ve undoubtedly faced numerous challenges as the lettings and rental industry continues to adapt, but I’m incredibly confident that our talented team can meet the needs of our clients and also manage any future challenges that may come our way.

“Our sustained success over this period couldn’t have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our workforce, and we remain proud to retain the fact that we’re staffed entirely by people from Sheffield”.
