New office to open for growing law firm

Yorkshire law firm Holden Smith is to expand with the opening of a fourth office.

The firm, co-founded in 2019 by James Smith, David Bancroft and Jamie Megson, will open its fourth office in Ilkley in January.

Bancroft said: “Our turnover increased by 298% in our last financial year, and we are on track to touch £5m by October 2022.

“Opening a new office in Ilkley will help us to deliver our ambitious growth plans by increasing the geography of the work we already deliver across our Leeds, Huddersfield and Halifax branches.

“We have experienced rapid growth in the last 12 months and recruited 23 new staff, taking our total headcount from the three of us in February 2019 to a team of 60 people. Now is the right time for our fourth branch to open.”

Co-founder, James Smith, added: “We received over 6,000 new instructions during our last financial year with particular demand across our specialist residential and commercial property services.

“We feel passionately that our approach of combining the latest legal technology with outstanding client interactions to deliver exceptional levels of service has been key to our success.”

Bancroft said the firm is also looking to recruit new staff as it continues to grow.

He said: “We’re a young, dynamic and very experienced firm and we are passionate about growing the business with an ambitious and driven team of solicitors who want to help shape the future of Holden Smith and make their own mark.”
