Growth propels business advisory company to larger offices

Business advisory firm Fortus has moved to new Scarborough offices, to accommodate the company’s growing team and client list.

The firm’s 30-strong workforce is now based at Scarborough Business Park.

The move follows a busy period of expansion for Fortus in the region, where in addition to significant organic growth, two long-standing local accountancy firms also joined the Fortus family: Winn & Co in April 2020, followed by Rayner & Co in April this year.

Craig Herbert, executive director at Fortus, said the new offices would accommodate the enlarged team, while providing space for further development as the firm continues to attract new clients.

“This is an exciting move for us, and further builds upon our commitment to strategically invest and grow our business within the Scarborough region,” he added.

Director Paul Dixon said: “Moving locations was the next logical step for us. We’ve continued to invest in even more specialist services which will allow us to continue to support the local economy as it bounces back from a turbulent period.

“This move gives us an even stronger foundation to support businesses within the local community and our new office space also allows for a more collaborative approach to working for our team, with a large open-space environment from which to meet and host business events.”

Director Mike Watson, formerly of Rayner & Co, said: “Joining Fortus has provided us with access to their vast technical knowledge and specialist in-house services.

“This has enabled us to take our client support to another level, without sacrificing the high quality of work we’ve always provided to our clients.”
