Travel agent aims to double pre-Covid turnover with move to prime location

A Harrogate-based travel agent has rebranded and relocated to larger premises on Montpellier Parade.

In its move to the town centre location, Ventur Luxury Travel says it is accelerating its growth plans by becoming more accessible to customers.

The travel agent, formerly known as Traveltalk and based on Leeds Road, has tripled its store footprint and has ambitions to double its 2019 turnover in the next 12 months.

Founded in Harrogate more than 35 years ago, Ventur Luxury Travel is led by Katherine Scott and specialises in package holidays, from bespoke honeymoons to solo adventure holidays and family beach escapes.

Scott said: It’s no secret that 2020 and 2021 were challenging years for the travel industry, but we’re proud to make such a statement with this move.

“We couldn’t be happier to call Montpellier Parade our new home and to celebrate with the people of Harrogate.

“According to ABTA, we’re 30% more likely to book with a travel professional now than before the pandemic and, with customers planning well into 2022, we’re delighted to be in an even more central location for people looking to make special memories next year.”

Backed by the Evans family of the Evans Property Group in Leeds, the travel agent is part of the Ventur Group, which also includes the firm’s corporate travel arm.

Focusing on business, professional sport and group travel via its Leeds and Edinburgh offices, this too underwent a rebrand in spring 2021, to better communicate the consultative service it provides to its customers.
