100 jobs to be created at vehicle salvage and dismantling company

Salvage, dismantling and vehicle recycling company, SYNETIQ, is looking to create another 100 jobs.

The Doncaster-headquartered business says it needs to scale up its operation following a flurry of contract wins.

It has begun recruiting for a range of 30 HGV driver positions to meet demand from an increased flow of salvage and end of life vehicles.

The HGV recruitment drive is part of a planned 20% increase in SYNETIQ’s team of colleagues, with the business also advertising roles within its client team and wider transport function.

Natalie Buckley, head of HR at SYNETIQ, said: “It’s such an exciting time for our business, following our acquisition by IAA towards the end of 2021.

“As we approach the three-year anniversary of SYNETIQ’s creation, we’re delighted to be welcoming more talent into our experienced team.

“We encourage anyone who might be interested in joining us on the next chapter of our journey to apply online today.”

It was announced in November that the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is investigating IAA’s acquisition of SNETIQ with regards to whether the deal “has resulted or may be expected to result in a substantial lessening of competition in any market or markets in the United Kingdom.”
The 26 January markets the deadline for the CMA to receive comments with the regulator due to make a decision on the first phase of investigation and if it is to continue by the 9 March.
