Agency update: Present Works; Xpand; Wild PR; and more

Leeds-based B2B marketing business, Present Works, is expanding into Europe and opening an office in Madrid this month to service its growing base of international clients.

Alongside clients in Paris, Italy, Australia and the USA, Present Works has recently won work with two very different companies based in Madrid.

Lab Cave is a mobile growth company developing mobile game applications. Providing services for app publishers globally, the firm, based in the centre of Madrid, has launched over 700 apps and games in the mobile marketplace, manages a portfolio of over 200 apps, and has achieved over 300 million organic downloads.

Present Works will be supporting the firm’s content and social activity over the coming months, building on its experience in the global app market.

The marketing firm has also won a 12-month arrangement with global engineering business, Empresarios Agrupados, headquartered in the Spanish capital, which specialises in energy, engineering, renewables, and innovation.

Present Works has been tasked with a programme of global communication to raise the profile of the organisation and its capabilities, which operates across the world including Europe, USA, the Middle East, and Latin America.

Managing director, Brett Jacob, said: “Our focus on B2B creative and communications activity has won us a number of clients internationally.

“While the industries of our Madrid clients are very different, the requirements are the same – essentially, to be present and communicate effectively to their audiences.”

Digital marketing agency, Xpand, has demonstrated the power of positive company culture after re-attracting a former employee who took a career break in 2017.

The Saltaire-based agency, which provides a full range of marketing services within a variety of sectors, has welcomed back former employee, Nayar Pervez who re-joins as digital marketing executive.

Her appointment follows a string of new client wins and the hiring of manufacturing marketing professional, Amy Williamson in November.

Pervez previously headed the paid marketing arm of Xpand but made the decision to take a break from a full-time career in 2017 due to personal circumstances.

Over the past few years, she has continued to work in the industry on a part-time, freelance basis, supporting multiple businesses in the UK and US with their marketing requirements.

Having kept in contact with founder Jag Panesar on LinkedIn and closely followed the company’s community and workplace activities during the last few years, she was aware the firm was looking for additional talent in 2022.

She said: “Xpand has always put an emphasis on employer well-being, ensuring employees feel like their work is valued, and their needs are communicated and met in order to harness the most creativity and productivity.

“I was devastated when I had to give up my career in 2017 as Jag and the team had been so supportive during a difficult time, but when I left, Jag made me feel it was more goodbye for now, and the door was still open.

“Since my personal circumstances have now improved, I’ve had time to reflect on where I want to go and who I want to work with, and Xpand ticks all the boxes.

Panesar added: “No one can work creatively when they are forced to work in a way that doesn’t suit their needs. Taking the time to communicate what we need to do our best work is key to harnessing a result driven team.

“We are delighted that Nayar decided to return to the team. We were sad to see her go, but fully supported her decision to prioritise her life outside of work.

“Marketing is a fast-paced environment, but she has fit right back into agency life, where she continues to deliver outstanding results for our clients.”

Leeds PR agency, Aubergine, has kicked off 2022 with two new business wins in the health and wellbeing space.

The journalist-led team has been appointed by GoBeDo to launch its new Immune Boosting Peppermint Gum to the UK market.

The virtual agency has also secured a contract to promote online health coach, Shelley Booth.

Booth is best known for the Feel Look Be lifestyle and exercise program, but has just launched a new range of supplements to support optimal health.

Aubergine has been tasked with amplifying the news of these new products as well as securing thought leadership opportunities for Booth.

Booth said: “So far, I’ve been really impressed by how nimble Aubergine are as a team. As former journalists they’re brilliant copywriters and I’ve been so happy with the coverage they’ve achieved for me already.”

Henry Colyer, head of marketing at GoBeDo, said: “Aubergine really stood out in the pitch stage due to their journalistic credentials – it’s obvious they know what makes journalists tick. I’m really excited to work with them to shout about GoBeDo’s new Immune Boosting Gum.”

Aubergine director and co-founder, Verity Clarke, added: “We’re so thrilled to kick off 2022 with such a healthy start.

“Both GoBeDo and Shelley Booth are dream clients for us as they’re in the health and wellbeing space but they’re also both launching new and exciting products to market.”
