Devolution, sector strengths and transport on the agenda for this morning’s webinar
An expert panel including Jenny Holme from Arup, James Farrar, chief operating officer of York and North Yorkshire LEP, the vice chancellor of York university Professor Charlie Jeffery and John Flathers, partner at Freeths, will consider consider what role Yorkshire can play in transforming the UK economy.
Part of a series of events taking place over the next month, that in the wake of the Government’s Levelling Up white paper will look at the role the region’s can play in growing UK plc. This first session will consider the importance of devolution, the strengths of the local economies sectors and infrastructure on delivering upon the potential for the region.
This event will take place at 9am today and also look at how the weaknesses and threats could be tackled to further deliver on the eternal goal of economic growth and how Government can avoid creating a gap between East andWest while closing the North-South divide.
