People: Haseltine Lake Kempner; PwC; Ride Shotgun; and more

Leeds-based international Intellectual Property (IP) law firm, Haseltine Lake Kempner, (HLK) has appointed Graham Lambert as its new chief executive with effect from 1 March.

He has been at the business for 11 years, holding senior leadership roles, first as finance director (FD) and then as the firm’s chief operating officer.

Prior to joining HLK he held a number of senior roles across a diverse range of industries, including as FD in a successful MBO within the print and media sector. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA).

Frances Wilding, HLK chairman, said: “Graham has won the respect and trust of everyone at the firm and his background and experience will ensure that we successfully deliver on the firm’s ambitious growth strategy.

“Graham will lead our drive to add value across the whole IP lifespan, ensuring that through HLK’s collaborative approach we continue to deliver excellence for our clients and their developing needs, so they feel we’re an integral part of their teams. PwC has appointed three new partners at its Leeds office.

Tom Woodham returns from IBM, and his main focus as partner will be to drive large supply chain tech-based transformation.

He has a wealth of experience and knowledge about the North and the firm’s key clients. He will also be working on building out the teams in PwC’s new Tech Hub in Manchester.

Stewart Light joined PwC 18 years ago as a graduate, and now as a partner, his role will see him focus on Tech, Data and Analytics, specialising on Cloud Transformation.

He will work across multiple sectors but brings a deep understanding of the Energy, Utilities and Resources markets.

 

Throughout his career with PwC, which spans over 10 years, Tom Loukes has focused on Internal Audit and Risk in regulated industries.

He has recently moved across to the ESG Reporting Advisory team, where he will draw on his previous experience of non financial reporting to support clients in developing value enhancing ESG reporting strategies.

Strategic brand activation agency Ride Shotgun has appointed Sally Rushton as strategy director.

She joins the Leeds, Sheffield and London-based agency from Rise at Seven, where she was executive strategy director.

She will be responsible for the Strategy team and proposition, building on the strong foundations and successes earned to date.

Rushton brings a wealth of expertise across all disciplines of strategy from a successful marketing career working in agencies, including over eight years at Jaywing in various roles including director of strategy and planning, and head of social where she specialised in cross channel content strategies and spearheaded the development of the digital content offer.

Her experience includes multiple sectors and leading brands, including Monzo, Parkdean Resorts, Castrol, E.ON, Hallmark and first direct.

She said: “I’m really excited to be joining Ride Shotgun as the agency enters its next stage of growth. There’s so much talent across the team and I know so many agencies will be envious of the facilities and skills we have available to clients.

“I can’t wait to work with the amazing client list and help showcase what we can do strategically and creatively with smart and emotive storytelling.”

Her appointment follows another recent senior hire –  business development director Roxy Fielding.

Simon Lister

International real estate advisor, Savills, has made seven promotions across its Leeds and York offices, effective from 1 March 2022.

The promotions will see four people move up to director level, while three people will become an associate director, associate and senior surveyor respectively.
