CTS UK, a North Yorkshire-based business supply chain specialist, has strengthened its team with two senior appointments.

Adam Booth and Tom Mundy join in the wake of a record-breaking year for the business.

Booth, who previously worked for the Heatons Group in the North West is CTS UK’s new sales director, while Mundy, formerly of Bedale-based Aspect CPM, has been appointed strategic account manager.

Howard Gill, managing director, said: “These are two very significant appointments, which will help to build on the substantial progress we have made during the past two years.

“Despite the challenges of the pandemic, CTS is expanding quickly, with increased turnover and profits in 2021, new premises in Northallerton, new clients and brand-new state-of-the-art machinery.

Leeds-based digital marketing agency, Wolfenden, has strengthened its senior leadership team, bringing on board a client strategy director and head of paid media.

In a newly created role, Dan Pratt joins as client strategy director, having previously held the position of director of clients at digital agency twentysix.

Following a year of growth for the agency where the client base has grown 40% and revenue by 74% year on year, Pratt will support the team in delivering innovative channel strategies which deliver business growth for clients.

Matt Robson ins as head of paid media from twentysix, where he previously held senior positions in the paid search team.

Robson’s role signifies an expansion of Wolfenden’s paid media offering and comes as paid media channel revenue has increased for the agency by 61% in the last six months.

Growing West Yorkshire business, GNG Group, has appointed Neil Kenderdine as operations manager to head the expansion and operations of its medical and consumer mattress division.

Headquartered in Wakefield, GNG Group was established in 1987 and has grown into a £10m turnover business, employing more than 90 people.

With 40 years’ experience in the sector, Kenderdine joins from the Usleep mattress division at Belfield in Manchester where he was operations manager for the last three years.

Prior to this, he spent 16 years with Slumberland in Oldham, working his way up from production operative to works manager.

This was followed by 10 years at Breasley where he set up the plant and recruited and trained the workforce to bring a new line of mattress and divans to the market.

In his new role with GNG, he will head operations for the expanding mattress division which includes its Komfi vacuum-packed mattress brand.

Managing director, Darren Potterton, said: “Recruiting an operations manager with Neil’s calibre and experience is testament to our ambitious growth plans.

“Having seen increasing demand across our mattress division in the last couple of years, we have some exciting projects ahead which will enable us to continue to build the business.

“As well as investing in our manufacturing facilities, it is also vital we strengthen the team and to have someone with Neil’s experience in this sector will be of huge value as we continue to expand.”

Hull-based engineering business, Spencer Group, has appointed an experienced lead to drive forward the growth of its in-house rail design capabilities.

Gary Robson has joined as engineering manager, with specific responsibility for rail project design.

He brings significant expertise and experience to the role, having held numerous senior civil engineering consultancy positions throughout his 30-year career, which includes 20 years working in the rail sector.

Robson, a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (FICE), will oversee the continued development of Spencer Group’s rail design capabilities to further enhance the company’s delivery of multi-disciplinary rail projects.

He said: “I’m extremely proud to have joined Spencer Group in such an important role as I know from first-hand experience what a fantastic company it is.

“I’ve worked as a consultant throughout my career, so I have often been distanced from the final construction of the projects I’ve helped design. I’m therefore really looking forward to having a direct influence on the solution and seeing projects through from brief to completion.

“This is an excellent opportunity and I’m very excited to be given responsibility to drive forward this growing area of the business.”

Robson has held previous positions at COWI, Arcadis and White Young Green.
