The UK division of Jacuzzi Group has appointed West Yorkshire based HR consultancy Howarths to design and deliver management training as it chases growth plans.

The company, which has bases in Yorkshire and Sussex and employs more than 6,000 people globally, has commissioned Howarths to design and deliver a structured management training programme and ongoing professional coaching for members of its UK management team.

Gavin Howarth, managing director at Howarths, said: “Jacuzzi Group is an industry leader, owning several of the most well-known hot tub, swim spa, bath and sauna brands in the world – notably, Jacuzzi®, Hydropool, and Sundance Spas®.

“The company recognises the link between happy and engaged employees and achieving its ambitious growth plans and has engaged Howarths to deliver a series of bespoke management training and engagement workshops that will empower the business to achieve greater success through its people.

“This includes ILM accredited management training covering topics including the role of a manager, employment contracts and handbooks, and disciplinaries and sickness management – as well as facilitating team building and development to drive communication, collaboration, and critical thinking.

“We have also worked with Jacuzzi Group to design and implement a new companywide induction process and bespoke performance management documentation for all managers to follow.”

Duncan Simcox, managing director UK at Jacuzzi Group, said: “Part of our ethos means our people take absolute ownership in delivering on responsibilities, and this has been a key part of our rapid growth in recent years.

“Investing in their development and enhancing their skills and knowledge is crucial to help achieve our growth plans.

“Ongoing professional coaching for our managers demonstrates our commitment to individual learning and development, and the ILM accredited management training from Howarths gives our managers the practical tools and knowledge to confidently and effectively manage their own teams and address people issues as and when they arise.”
