Law firm Brabners is making a move into Yorkshire with the opening of a Leeds office this summer.

The Leeds office is part of its strategic growth plan following five years of consecutive expansion that have seen the business grow by more than 30% since 2017.

The firm has appointed Marcus Armstrong, a prominent corporate law specialist, to the Yorkshire team and this will soon be followed by other key partner and team hires across a range of disciplines in the coming weeks.

The latest expansion will mark the North West firm’s fourth office and represents its third major real estate investment in the past 12 months after recently relocating its Lancashire office to Walton Summit, as it prepares to open a new 20,000 sq ft office at Manchester’s Barbirolli Square.

CEO Robert White said entering the Leeds market was the “perfect next step”.

“It is one of the UK’s largest and fastest growing legal markets; complements our existing locations in Liverpool, Manchester and Lancashire; strengthens our presence in the North; and broadens our access to talent and support for teams in our existing office locations,” he said.

“It also provides more opportunity for our people to grow, and achieve their ambitions, helped by our now well-embedded approach to agile working.”

Looking to the future, he added: “We look forward to fostering new relationships with the many innovative and high-profile businesses that have established themselves in Leeds, and also to playing our part as an integral member of the business community in Yorkshire in the years to come – always doing what we can to support the growth of its economy.

“An approach that is consistent with our purpose, to demonstrate ‘that business can bring about positive change’, being part of the solution to building an innovative, diverse and sustainable future.”
