Discover how the region can and is tackling key challenges for growth

Yorkshire has been building momentum and there is a lot to be positive about but the economic backdrop is continuing to produce short-term uncertainty.
The latest afternoon seminar from TheBusinessDesk.com in partnership with Eddisons will look at what’s next both from an economic perspective but also in relation to the government’s levelling-up plans following the publication of the white paper earlier this year.
With an array of speakers attendees will hear from the Bank of England, on on the economic landscape as we head into the second half of 2022 as well as look experts who will consider three critical areas that are needed to level up the region – transport, housing and productivity.
Speakers include Alex Golledge, agent, Yorkshire & the Humber at the Bank of England, Eve Roodhouse, chief officer, culture and economy at Leeds City Council and David Hoggarth, strategic rail director at Transport for the North.
The trio will also be joined by Sarah Tulip, Yorkshire chair of the Regional Productivity Forum, Amir Hussain, deputy chair of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority’s housing, regeneration and place committee, and Javid Patel, Director – Group Business Lead and Head of Public Sector at Eddisons.
