Experienced industry professional joins construction firm’s board

Huddersfield-based construction contractor Big Red Industries says Dan Hallett has accepted his position of non-executive board member.

His role will be to lead the strategic development and expansion of Big Red’s market share within the construction sector, and he will work with Big Red CEO Mike Lomas and additional board member Rob Kelly.

Hallett has a wealth of experience from working with some of the largest globally recognised brands for medical devices, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, beauty, and consumer healthcare.

He has a reputation for driving cultural change in many organisations and delivering significant growth in business sales and gross margin improvement.

With over 20 years of industry experience working across a broad spectrum of sectors in over 66 countries, he has continuously expanded and advanced his career, and currently holds degrees in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, and Technology Management.

Hallett has held prestigious roles at Reckitt Benckiser, firstly as supply director before becoming senior vice president for health and personal hygiene and was divisional vice president at Abbott Pharmaceuticals, before recently becoming chief operating officer for Bayer Consumer Health.

Lomas said: “I have known Dan for several years, and he was my mentor at Reckitt Benckiser when he was in the role of senior vice president.

“His experience and knowledge will undoubtedly benefit the growth of the Big Red Industries Group.”
