Deal with machine knives manufacturer means a full house at industrial estate

A three-year lease agreed with a manufacturer means the 13,000 sq ft Lidget Lane Industrial Estate, in Thurnscoe, is now fully let to 10 different businesses.

Whittle Jones, managing agents acting on behalf of Northern Trust Company, confirmed they have completed the letting of unit 12H to Premier Machine Knives.

The manufacturer makes and supplies products to meet the cutting needs of a variety of businesses, predominantly in the food industry including supermarkets, bakeries, dairies and seafood processors.

It also supplies to manufacturing companies in sectors such as automation, aerospace, medical, fabrics, plastics, paper, and cardboard.

Rob Asquith, of Premier Machine Knives, said: “We understand the requirements of our customers and demands of the industries they supply, particularly in the food industry and our innovative engineering solutions and supply chain management, means we can offer solutions including stocks and supply chain management.

“All our Machine Knives are made in South Yorkshire using the latest knife manufacturing techniques. The premises at Lidget Lane will help facilitate the continued growth of our business whilst still providing an efficient service to our clients.”

Clare Harrison, assistant management surveyor at Whittle Jones Yorkshire, said: “I am pleased to welcome Katherine and the team at Premier Machine Knives to Lidget Lane, which is now fully occupied. I am looking forward to seeing the continued growth of the business.”
