Specialist software provider acquired by global IP leader
Leeds-based Equinox has been acquired by Questel, a legal technology company headquartered in France.
Founded and operated in Leeds since 2006, Equinox provides software for intellectual property law firms across the world. The company has grown in recent years, supplying almost 250 organisations in 25 countries.
Questel’s services encompass the entire innovation and intellectual property life cycle. Equinox, as a provider of an intellectual property management system, will form a key part of Questel’s international provision.
Equinox has been advised by Ward Hadaway, Ahead Business Consulting, and Azets. By joining Questel, the firm hopes to grow its international market share even further.

The Equinox team is comprised of tech professionals from a variety of disciplines with development, data management, and support specialists. The business will continue to operate in Leeds and maintain its full team.
