Another 15 jobs created at growing law firm

Leeds-based law firm Clarion is continuing to grow its team, as it recruits for another 15 jobs.

Over the last five full financial years, the practice’s revenue increased by more than four fifths (85.2%) and the firm also saw a big rise in the size of its team. Total headcount has grown from 140 five years ago to 295 now.

Joint managing partner, Roger Hutton, said: “We’re currently recruiting for another 15 new roles and are looking forward to celebrating reaching employing our 300th colleague in the New Year.

“This is further evidence of Leeds’ position as an outstanding legal centre with a rich pool of talent.

“As people have become more used to remote working over the last few years, we’ve seen even more businesses looking beyond London for legal skills and we, along with other firms in the region, have been successful in attracting work both from the capital and internationally.

“Alongside Clarion’s carefully-planned growth programme, we have undertaken an ambitious recruitment initiative to support expansion across our various practices, including building resource within both our legal and support teams.”

Clarion has been being named the third fastest growing law firm in the whole of Europe in rankings compiled by trade magazine The Lawyer.

Hutton added: “We are very proud to be recognised with this latest accolade from The Lawyer. Not only is it recognition of the fantastic work undertaken by the Clarion team, but it’s also as a further demonstration that the Yorkshire legal scene is among the most dynamic and talented in Europe.”
