Chamber of Commerce expands presence at flexible work space hub

Sheffield Chamber of Commerce has grown its co-working hub at Cubo Sheffield.

The membership organisation first made the flex office space on Carver Street its primary base for Chamber membership in August 2021.

Since then, the workspace has grown in popularity with staff and members. As a result, the Chamber has consolidated its existing space and now has a 15-person office.

Cubo Sheffield opened its doors on Carver Street in Sheffield’s city centre in April 2021 following a £3m investment. Since then, the workspace has welcomed over 250 new members.

Businesses who already call Cubo Sheffield home include Arcadis, BJSS and Logica Digital and Nationwide Building Society who occupy a whole floor at the building.

The four-storey, 34,000 sq ft building – which forms part of the £480m Heart of the City II scheme – can accommodate more than 600 desks in a variety of co-working spaces and private offices.

Cubo was founded in 2020 by property developers Marc and Rebecca Brough and now has a presence in Sheffield, Leeds, Derby, Nottingham and Birmingham.

Louisa Harrison-Walker, chief executive of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, said: “We are excited to be expanding our footprint at Cubo Sheffield.

“Our workspace at Cubo has proved extremely popular with both Chamber members and staff, who find it a productive environment to work in.”

Marc Brough, CEO at Cubo, added: “Sheffield Chamber of Commerce have been a great addition to Cubo Sheffield, and we are pleased they are extending their membership with us.

“Cubo occupies a prime location in the city centre and is easily accessible for staff and members.

“It is also at the heart of the Heart of the City II regeneration scheme, which is bringing new workspaces, shops, restaurants and social spaces to the city centre.”
