New non-executive director role for Stuart Watson

Flowtech Fluidpower has appointed Stuart Watson as non-executive director of the company with immediate effect.

Watson is a chartered accountant and was an audit partner and managing partner for Yorkshire and the North-East at Ernst & Young prior to his retirement in 2017.

Most recently he was non-executive director at Clipper Logistics plc until its acquisition and is currently a non-executive director at the Humber & North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board and Vp plc.

Flowtech also says Nigel Richens intends to retire as non-executive director of the business having served on the Board since May 2014.

It is expected he will leave the Board following the release of the 2022 Annual Report & Accounts.  On his retirement, Watson will become chair of the Audit Committee.

Roger McDowell, chair at Flowtech, said: “I would like to thank Nigel for his sterling service coupled with excellent advice and, on behalf of the Board, wish him a long and happy retirement.

“I am pleased we have been able to attract a candidate of Stuart’s calibre; we all look forward to working together over the coming years.”
