Law firm relocating to refurbished offices as it embraces hybrid working
Sheffield City Region law firm, Taylor Emmet, has unveiled a state-of-the-art new office in south west Sheffield.
The firm is moving into a fully refurbished space at 1 Ecclesall Road South in Banner Cross, the site of the former Gilder car showroom.
The office space is fully open plan and forms part of Taylor Emmet’s plan to revolutionise its traditional working practices and move to a more sustainable, hybrid approach.
It has worked with Ovo Spaces to transform the building to suit its exact requirements. The first members of staff are set to move in next month.
Lee Stacey, head of facilities management at Taylor Emmet, said: “1 Ecclesall Road South is a well-known location to the people of Sheffield and enables us to have a clear presence in the south western area of the city.
“The new space will be the benchmark for our other offices and the types of facilities we want our staff to be working in moving forward.
Alongside the team working at the firm’s existing Ecclesall Road office, the new space will welcome staff from all departments within Taylor Emmet.
Steve Hinshelwood, CEO, said: “Since the pandemic, our working practices have adapted as we have moved to a more hybrid model and this has led to a review of how we use our office space across the firm.
“The new space has been transformed from its previous use as a car showroom and refurbished to an exceptional standard in line with our requirements.
“This project has been a year in the planning, and I would like to thank everybody who has contributed to making it happen.
“We held a fantastic launch event where the feedback was very positive, and we are excited to welcome clients and friends when we move in the coming weeks.”
The launch event raised over £1,000 on the night for Taylor Emmet’s chosen charities – The Children’s Hospital Charity and Support Dogs.
Taylor Emmet has five offices across South Yorkshire and Derbyshire, including in Sheffield city centre, Rotherham and Dronfield.
