Contractor invests in new premises to help deliver energy efficiency works

Westdale North Ltd, a regional division of the Westdale Group, has recently opened a new premises in Wombwell after securing a contract with Barnsley Council to deliver external wall insulation.

This is part of the council’s ongoing energy efficiency schemes for residents who own or privately rent their property.

Originally from Doncaster, the company is a solid wall insulation, facades and general construction contractor.

In Barnsley the firm will deliver energy efficiency measures to private sector homes using Government funding to improve the quality of living accommodation.

This should also help with the cost of energy bills and cut carbon emissions from housing stock.

Councillor Robert Frost, cabinet spokesman for regeneration and culture, said: “It’s great to see Westdale open an office in Wombwell.

“Given the current scale of the cost of living crisis, their work is vital, and we hope they will make a real difference to the lives of our residents in conjunction with the Warm Homes team.”

Joe Rogers, director at Westdale, added: “Having carried out many of these projects in other regions of the country, it’s great to have the opportunity to come back and operate more locally.

“We’re incredibly excited to be investing in an area that means a lot to our staff and operatives, many of whom reside in Barnsley.

“By contributing to the local supply chain and providing more jobs in the borough, we feel we’re helping to fuel the local economy and helping Barnsley to become both warmer and more prosperous for us all.”
