Experienced recruitment consultant, Sarah Shaw, has joined talent solutions specialists Nicholas Associates Group (NAG) to drive growth in Leeds and North Yorkshire for the NA construction division.

She has seven years’ experience of helping house builders predominantly across Yorkshire and the Midlands attract talented construction professionals.

In her new role, she will be focusing on the house building sector and will work with other team members to ensure quality candidates are sourced and placed in roles that meet the skills requirements of their new employer.

The Yorkshire NA Construction team is led by Michael Alderson who joined NAG in 2022 to establish a new office on Park Row in the city’s business district, specialising in temporary and permanent recruitment solutions for the built environment.

Shaw said: “I have previously worked with Mike and knew this role presented a great opportunity  to help him further expand our presence in Yorkshire. This a great opportunity to grow a successful portfolio of new clients.”

The NA Construction team specialise in sourcing construction professionals for the Building, Civil Engineering and Residential sectors on fixed contract, permanent, contingent or retained basis.

Nick Greenwood has joined Yorkshire law firm, LCF Law, as business development and marketing director.

He has worked in the professional services sector for 25 years for banking, accountancy, and legal firms across Yorkshire.

In his new role, he will head a broad spectrum of business development and marketing projects at LCF Law and oversee the firm’s overall growth strategy.

He will also work with its lawyers to develop new business opportunities throughout its corporate, commercial, and personal law divisions, across offices in Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate and Ilkley.

Greenwood said: “I started my career at Barclays as a branch manager in both the Leeds and Bradford flagship branches, soon progressing through SME into corporate banking and agriculture, supporting all types of businesses with their financial needs.

“After that, I became part of the senior leadership team at a mid-tier accountancy firm as head of sectors, and then moved to a business development role at a 48 partner law firm supporting its achievement to become one of the most profitable law firms in the east of England.

“Joining LCF Law has seen me come full circle, returning to a Bradford-headquartered business and I’m excited to join the firm.

Audit, tax and consulting firm, RSM UK, has promoted Finlay Lamont to partner within the audit team.

Lamont is based in RSM’s Leeds office and specialises in working with listed, international and large corporate businesses.

He has over 11 years’ experience in audit, all of which he has spent at RSM. He first joined as an audit assistant in 2012 and has progressed through the team to partner.

He will continue to work with clients across a range sectors, bolstering RSM’s capabilities and commitment to working with the middle market.

As partner, he will remain focused on working with listed businesses, and will also be responsible for the ongoing development and growth of the audit team.

Lamont said: “My time here has been hugely rewarding and it’s great to be a part of a supportive and collaborative team which has helped me to progress from audit assistant to partner.

Halifax-based sustainable coatings distributor, CorkSol, has appointed Richard Hitchcock as operations manager.

He is responsible for identifying and activating new strategies to accelerate the company’s presence within the building sector.

Previously an independent consultant, he has extensive experience of senior management roles across a wide range of industries from retail and manufacturing through to the charity sector.

He has successfully provided strategic advice to a number of similar sized organisations looking to supercharge their growth plans and streamline their development.

In his role at CorkSol, Hitchcock will focus on supporting the company in achieving its ambitious goals by developing and implementing a strategic growth plan to ensure the business can succeed within the constantly evolving green build sector.
