Company scores five-year Wembley Stadium maintenance contract

Ilkley-headquartered engineering and services business, NG Bailey, has secured a five-year contract to provide maintenance services for the home of football – Wembley National Stadium.

The contract will see the firm providing a full range of planned preventative and reactive mechanical and electrical maintenance services, ensuring the famous stadium’s estate operates smoothly and efficiently.

The contract win builds on NG Bailey’s expertise in the management of complex, high footfall venues, which includes a number of public facing facilities, shopping centres and other sports stadia.

It comes as Wembley Stadium continues to work towards a net zero carbon goal, with the stadium putting in place a number of sustainability initiatives, including using 100% renewable energy and installing low-flow water technologies.

John Cooper, operations director at NG Bailey, said: “We are passionate about bringing together our engineering expertise with technology-driven management and a vastly experienced team to ensure buildings perform to the highest possible standard.

“With a proven track record in delivering complex maintenance projects in other high footfall settings, we are looking forward to using our expertise to maintain and enhance the facilities of one of the UK’s most iconic sporting and entertainment venues.”

Jonathan Davies, head of property at Wembley Stadium, said: “We’re pleased to be working with NG Bailey to deliver our FM plans over the next five years.

“Their knowledge and experience in the sector will ensure we continue to provide world-class facilities for the millions of visitors to Wembley Stadium each year.”
