Jobs created as autocentre launches at trade park

A family-owned business has opened up a new autocentre in Sheffield following months of planning.

The Formula One Autocentres base launched earlier this month and already has generated 10 full-time jobs. The company invested to open the new build on Greenland Industrial and Trade Park on Greenland Road, which was previously a vacant plot.

Simon Jennings, digital director at Formula One Autocentres, said: “We are thrilled to be able to open this site in Sheffield.

“The demand for our services just shows how important it is to have high quality services for tyre, MOT and car servicing provided in the city and its surrounding areas of Brightside, Brinsworth, Waverley and Handsworth Hill.

“This is a great boost to local employment, and we have invested heavily in creating this branch.

“For us to be able to create jobs in the area and employ so many talented mechanics and back-office staff, is something we are really proud to be able to do.’

“Our centres are always run to the highest of standards, so we are always on the look-out for the very best talent available in the region.”

The new autocentre for motorists will be offering tyres, MOT, servicing and batteries.

Formula One Autocentres has been running since 1969 and now has more than 130 branches across England.
